Festival of Health 2024

On June 2nd, the Cultural Centers of Lincoln partners* hosted a Festival of Health including thirty local nonprofit and government resources sharing about healthcare access and community wellbeing.

*The Cultural Centers of Lincoln partners include the Asian Community & Cultural Center, Good Neighbor Community Center, El Centro de las Americas, Malone Center, Ponca Tribe, and the Indian Center.

Lincolnites joined us at Trago park to celebrate summer, participate in fun activities and giveaways, and check out local food truck offerings while learning about the many health resources available in our city.

Thank you to all who made the day a success: sponsors, participating agencies, performers & instructors, volunteers and staff and the delicious food from local trucks.

The showcase concluded with a diverse and energetic group of students from Lefler Middle School presenting their story together. The group included students from three different countries, representing vastly different cultures, religions, and experiences. They shared about their various cultures and emphasized the importance of food as a way to connect both within and across communities.
