$16.75/hour, based on experience. Part-time, temporary contract position (non-exempt).

Job Summary
The Contract Childcare Worker will collaborate with ACCC program staff to provide child care assistance to clients of the Asian Center during group sessions, classes, and other program activities. The ideal candidate must be capable of supervising and engaging children in a variety of activities in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure children are safe at all times, both during play and structured activities, and that they follow established safety protocols.
- Encourage creativity, social interaction, and positive behavior.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom or play space.
- Complete required documentation regarding incidents or accidents as they occur.
- Work a flexible work schedule to accommodate the agency’s needs as applicable
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience working with children
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting children, standing for long periods, and managing active play.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to maintain schedules and manage activities effectively.
- Must possess great communication skills including effective verbal, writing and listening skills
- Communicate in a friendly and informative manner with people from a wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
- Background check and child abuse clearances (required)
