Nowruz Celebration

On Sunday March 21st, between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., the Asian Community and Cultural Center would like to invite you to come join us as we celebrate Norwuz.

Nowruz, meaning “new day”, is the celebration of the spring equinox and the Persian New Year. It is celebrated by many people in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, the Indian Sub-Continent and by communities in the United States and the United Kingdom. We will have speakers share different perspectives on Norwuz and tell the fascinating Kurdish story of the origins of Norwuz. There will be traditional Norwuz food to sample and some food to purchase to help raise funds for the Middle Eastern Women’s Swimming Club. We look forward to seeing you
